Sourcing & Authenticity

Sourcing & Authenticity

At Honkup, we are committed to transparency in how our products are sourced, customized, and assembled.

Our custom-built train horns are made using genuine, brand-new power tools as their foundation. We do not use used, refurbished, replica, imitation, or counterfeit power tools in these products.

In addition to our custom-built products, we offer batteries, chargers, and accessories, which may include both genuine products from original tool manufacturers and compatible aftermarket products manufactured by third parties.

Genuine branded accessories and compatible aftermarket products are identified accordingly in their individual product listings.

Component Sourcing

The power tools used as the foundation for Honkup custom-built train horns are sourced brand-new through legitimate U.S. retail and wholesale channels.

Additional components used during customization, including horn assemblies, compressors, electronic components, and accessories, may be sourced from independent manufacturers and suppliers.

These additional components are not represented as being manufactured or endorsed by the original power tool brands unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Batteries, Chargers & Accessories

We may offer both genuine branded batteries and chargers manufactured by the original tool brands and compatible aftermarket alternatives produced by independent third-party manufacturers.

Genuine branded products are identified as such in their individual product listings.

Compatible aftermarket batteries and chargers are clearly identified as compatible replacement products and are not represented as genuine products of the original tool brands.

The terms "genuine" and "brand-new" used to describe the power tools in our custom-built train horns do not automatically apply to separately sold batteries, chargers, or other accessories. Each product's authenticity and manufacturer are identified in its individual listing.

Build Process

Honkup custom-built train horns are assembled and modified in California.

During our build process, genuine power tools are modified to incorporate horn assemblies, electric compressors, electronic components, and, where applicable, wireless remote-control systems.

Certain original components may be modified, replaced, or removed as part of the customization process.

Each completed custom-built product is tested before shipment.

This customization process applies to Honkup custom-built products and does not imply that separately sold batteries, chargers, or other accessories are manufactured or modified by Honkup.

Quality & Authenticity Checks

The power tools used in our custom-built train horns are inspected upon receipt to verify their condition and authenticity.

Additional components used during assembly are inspected as part of our production process.

Each completed custom-built product undergoes a final inspection and functionality testing before shipment.

We retain purchase documentation for the power tools and components used in our custom-built products.

Genuine branded batteries, chargers, and accessories are identified according to their original manufacturer.

Compatible aftermarket batteries, chargers, and accessories are identified separately and are not represented as original branded products.

What Customers Are Buying

Customers purchasing a Honkup custom-built train horn are purchasing a product independently modified and assembled by Honkup using a genuine, brand-new power tool as its foundation.

These products are sold as Honkup products and are covered by the Honkup warranty.

The original power tool manufacturers do not manufacture, assemble, approve, or warrant Honkup's custom-built train horns.

Customers purchasing batteries, chargers, or accessories may receive either genuine branded products or compatible aftermarket products, depending on the specific item ordered.

The manufacturer and product type are identified in each individual product listing.

Brand names are used to identify the original manufacturer when applicable or to indicate compatibility with specific battery and tool platforms.

Honkup is an independent business and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by Milwaukee®, DeWalt®, Ryobi®, Makita®, Bosch®, Bauer®, Ridgid®, Craftsman®, Hart®, Kobalt®, Porter-Cable®, or any other tool brand. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
